Going Global: Valuable Resource for Job Seekers Worldwide

Going Global is a valuable career resource that can be useful to Penn State World Campus students and alumni, no matter where you are based. The service provides a range of career and employment resources for finding employment and transitioning into a successful career in a foreign country.

If you are currently based outside the United States, or if you are interested in exploring opportunities around the world, be sure to check out the Going Global Career Country Guides, which contain more than 80,000 resources for finding international employment at home and abroad including:

  • worldwide job openings and internship listings
  • industry and corporate profiles
  • country-specific career information
  • tips and information about obtaining work permits
  • insights into geographic employment trends

If you are a job seeker focusing on opportunities in the United States, you can consult the USA City Guides, which contain career and employment resources for this country’s 40 largest metropolitan areas.

There is also a wealth of general career and job search advice and information that would be helpful to all professionals or job seekers. This includes tips related to résumé preparation, hiring trends, interview tactics, networking strategies, and trade associations.

Going Global’s Career Guides are researched by local career experts and updated annually. The H1B Plus database is a robust system that contains all Department of Labor H1B visa application records. Listings can be simultaneously searched by job title, occupation, employer, location, and/or wage.
