Some important changes are on the horizon for LionPATH. These changes are part of a system upgrade that will provide improvements for students — but that will also require a system outage for several days during the transition.
System Outage July 4–7
LionPATH will be unavailable from Thursday, July 4, through Sunday, July 7, 2019, while this system upgrade is being implemented. Students and staff won’t be able to view information or complete actions in the system during this time.
Penn State World Campus will be closed on July 4 in observance of Independence Day. Our offices will be open on July 5, but staff will only be able to answer general questions, since they will be unable to access specific student information within LionPATH.
Normal operations will resume on Monday, July 8, at which point staff and students will have access to the improved LionPATH system.
New Design for the Student View
The system upgrade includes enhanced features designed to provide a better user experience for students. The most noticeable difference will be the new look for the student view.
This new design was created using information gathered through web analytics, student surveys, and usability testing to identify the most important features for students. Those items will now be more prominently visible in the student view, making them easier to find quickly.
Information about the system upgrade and other LionPATH updates can be found on the LionPATH support page.
