World Campus Blue & White Society member, Michael Sanchez was all smiles when he received a $500 gift card after winning the recent Blue & White Society Bookstore Sweepstakes. The Texas native was one of three lucky winners selected from more than 1,900 students that entered university-wide.
After reading about the sweepstakes through his Penn State email account, Michael recalls receiving a number of follow up emails from the Blue & White Society which encouraged him to look in to and enter the competition. A few weeks later, he received a phone call informing him he was the winner of one of the three $500 gift cards good for use at any Penn State Bookstore.
Michael, who initially registered for the Blue & White Society simply to receive a free shirt, now states he got a lot more than he bargained for. He has been impressed with the quality of the program and pleasantly surprised by the opportunities made available to the membership.
Having already purchased his books for the fall 2012 semester, Michael plans to stock up on a couple of new Penn State shirts for the fall football season and plans to spend the rest of the winnings during his next semester to purchase his books online.
