Are you looking for a way to stay involved with Penn State World Campus after graduation and serve your fellow alumni and students? If you’re a graduate of Penn State World Campus, consider nominating a fellow alum or yourself to a position on the World Campus Alumni Society Board.
Benefits of the Alumni Society Board
As a member of the Board, you can help grow, support, and promote your alma mater as you collaborate with your fellow alumni. This volunteer work is done primarily through planning events, meetings, and other activities that engage alumni and build the society. By becoming a member of the Board, you can also show your commitment to service and education on your résumé.
Alumni Society Board Service Requirements
A term of service on the Board lasts three years, with a maximum of two concurrent terms. You will be invited to attend quarterly Board meetings, with some of these held at the University Park campus and others held virtually. You’ll also be asked to serve on a committee, which will meet virtually throughout the year. These committees include Student Engagement, Alumni Engagement, Communications, and Fundraising.
How to Be Nominated for the Alumni Society Board
Graduates or former Penn State World Campus students who are members of the Penn State Alumni Association are eligible to serve as members of the Board, and you may nominate yourself. Nominations for terms beginning in September 2018 will close Friday, June 1.
