Stay Connected to Penn State World Campus Over the Summer

You may be continuing with your Penn State World Campus courses this summer, or you may be taking the summer off to enjoy some relaxation. No matter your activities, World Campus doesn’t shut down for summer. Our staff will be working to serve any student needs that may arise during this semester. If you’re looking for ways to stay connected to the University during the summer months, we have a few recommendations that will keep you informed (and maybe even entertained), whether or not you’re taking classes.

Check Your Penn State Email Account

It’s important for you to monitor your Penn State email account regularly, even if you are not enrolled for the summer. Important notifications about financial aid or registration, for example, are often sent only to this account, and we want you to stay informed.

Watch Your To-Do List in LionPATH

This important area of LionPATH will let you know if you have any outstanding financial aid or registration tasks that should be taken care of. Log into LionPATH and check your To-Do List to make sure you don’t forget an important To-Do over the summer.

Be Informed About Summer Financial Aid

If you do plan to take classes this summer, there are a few important differences in summer financial aid you’ll want to learn more about. Since aid disbursement will begin in late June, dropping classes or withdrawing in May or June can affect your aid eligibility.

Participate in the Penn State World Campus Virtual Book Club

You can keep up with your study skills over the summer and incorporate some fun by participating in our summer common reading program, the Penn State World Campus Virtual Book Club. Our book club allows you to have a shared experience with fellow students through reading, discussion, and other special activities. You even have the opportunity to get the selected book, The Girl Who Smiled Beads: A Story of War and What Comes After by Clemantine Wamariya, for free.

Whether you are soaking up some sun or diving into a new set of courses this summer, Penn State World Campus is here to support you. Enjoy these resources and stay connected over the summer.
