Each episode will feature an interview with a different guest who will share his or her knowledge on a certain topic relating to Penn State life, along with important news and updates for World Campus students, a tip for academic success, and more.

Episode 1 of PawCast features author and Penn State librarian Steven Herb.

An expert in all things Nittany, Steven reveals little-known facts about the real-life animal that inspired our famed Nittany Lion mascot and discusses the most photographed place on campus – the Lion Shrine. Learn how it came to be, where students originally wanted it constructed, and how the Class of 1940 almost voted for another gift in place of the Shrine.
