The Nittany Lion got a makeover! The beloved shrine on the University Park campus recently underwent a renovation that took several months, during which time it was off limits to visitors. Now that the project is completed, the shrine is once again open to the public. In addition to improved landscaping and lighting, new accessibility features were added to the site—including a sweeping walkway and a special cut-out notch at the front of the base to allow wheelchairs to get close for photos. Other upgrades include an accessible ramp, steps and new sidewalks to connect to existing walkways.
